Born and raised in Germany, I began my career as a travel agent and tour guide for high end incentive groups in Europe. After receiving a degree in tourism, I worked for more than 21 years worldwide as a project manager for an event management company specializing in Adventure Travel, Film & Photo Productions and Promotional Events for international corporations.
In 2011 I decided to take a break from the event business and traveling. Together with my husband Chris, I built the Moab Adventure Park, a high ropes course facility in Moab, Utah and focused on teaching team building and working with youth groups. I like the challenge and creativity in my job. There is always something new and different. New locations, new activities, new people and new experiences. When I was offered to help design and organize 20 days promotional, multi cultural travel events in the U.S., Alaska and Canada in 2015, I came back to my roots of Event Planning and Destination Management and founded Moab Event Services.
My goal is to continue the international event consulting business and to use my expertise to build a local network for event and production services/rentals in our home base in Moab, Utah. Let us know how we can assist you in creating and executing your very unique event or Moab experience!
I left Washington, D.C. when I was 17 to go to Nuremberg, Germany to become a master mechanic with Mercedes Benz and to learn a foreign language. Since I was a little boy I have been fascinated with taking things apart and putting them back together. Car restoration, mechanic work and metal fabrication are my job. After 9 years in Germany I returned to the U.S. and became one of the early tiny house pioneers, living in an old school bus traveling the Southwest with my dogs and living from mechanic jobs and working on productions as set builder, talent or motorcycle and jeep stunt driver. My favorite thing is exploring new areas and trails on my motorcycle or with my UTV or rock crawler. Having grown up on the ocean I really enjoy the hot Moab summers taking my SUP or kayak down the Colorado River. I have worked as ATV/UTV/motorcycle/jeep tour guide for many years and was hired as off-road driving instructor and field mechanic for promotional events in the U.S., Lebanon, Russia, Cypress and Czech Republic.
The bus is now parked at my mechanic shop in Moab and is part of a collection of unique props for all kinds of events and productions and I am in charge of all technical or mechanical operations of our event services. You break it, I fix it!
I am a native of Santa Fe, New Mexico with deep roots in the community, serving on several boards in the area. My career spans over 30 years in the hospitality and service industry starting as beverage and catering manager at a 5 star boutique resort and moving on to ten years as director of Group Sales. From there, I moved on to planning high-end events for a German adventure company throughout the US southwest and managing the American office. Over the past 12 years, my career was committed to the non-profit sector dedicated to land health. This included extensive duties including Conference Director for an annual conference of 600 people. I am used to providing service for sophisticated and exclusive clients and am dedicated to providing top-shelf end results.
